Biological Background: RNF7 Function and Localization

• RNF7 (also known as ROC2, SAG, or CKBBP1) is the catalytic component of cullin-5-RING E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complexes (ECS complexes), which mediate the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Related references: PMID:21980433, PMID:33268465, PMID:38418882
