- The immunogen is a recombinant protein encompassing amino acids 1-341 of human QKI, covering the majority of the protein including its KH RNA-binding domains. This broad coverage may ensure detection across multiple isoforms and functional states.
- For Western blot (WB), the predicted molecular weight is approximately 38 kDa; however, due to alternative splicing and post-translational modifications, multiple bands or a range may be observed. Validation using knockdown or knockout controls is recommended.
- In immunohistochemistry (IHC-P) and immunofluorescence (IF/ICC), antibody penetration and epitope accessibility may require optimized antigen retrieval and permeabilization protocols. Nuclear and cytoplasmic localization should be confirmed with appropriate subcellular markers.
- For ELISA applications, consider using recombinant human QKI protein as a standard and validate the assay with known positive and negative samples to establish dynamic range and specificity.
