- PSMC6 participates in the ATP-dependent degradation of polyubiquitinated proteins, playing a critical role in maintaining protein homeostasis by eliminating misfolded, damaged, or regulatory proteins.
- The proteasome, through PSMC6, is involved in numerous cellular processes including cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and DNA damage repair.
