  • Contains an N-terminal PH (pleckstrin homology) domain that mediates binding to phosphoinositides, promoting membrane association and localization to cellular membranes.
  • The central SEC7 domain catalyzes GDP/GTP exchange on ARF6, a small GTPase that regulates endocytic membrane trafficking, actin cytoskeleton remodeling, and cell migration.
  • Localizes to the cell membrane, ruffle membranes, and the cleavage furrow during cytokinesis, indicating functional roles in cell movement and division.
  • Features a coiled-coil region and a transmembrane helix, which may facilitate protein oligomerization and stable membrane anchoring.
