Biological Background: PTGES2 Function and Localization
- Also known as mPGES-2, PGES2, GBF1, and C9orf15; belongs to the prostaglandin E synthase family.
- Catalyzes the isomerization of prostaglandin H2 (PGH2) to prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in vitro, a key step in prostanoid biosynthesis.
