Biological Background: POLD2 Function and Localization

• POLD2 encodes DNA polymerase delta subunit 2 (also known as p50), an accessory component of both the DNA polymerase delta and zeta complexes, playing a role in high fidelity genome replication (including lagging strand synthesis) and repair.
