Biological Background: NRF2 Function and Localization
- NRF2 (Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2) is a transcription factor crucial for oxidative stress response, binding to antioxidant response elements (ARE) and regulating cytoprotective genes (PubMed:11035812, PubMed:19489739, PubMed:29018201).
