- PARD6A (Partitioning defective 6 homolog alpha), also known as PAR6C or TIP-40, is an adapter protein that plays critical roles in asymmetrical cell division and cell polarization.
- It participates in epithelial tight junction assembly by associating with PARD3, which may prevent PARD3 interaction with F11R/JAM1, thereby regulating tight junction formation.
