- OsRACK1A, also known as RACK1z, GPB-LR, RWD, or Receptor for activated C kinase 1A, is a small ribosomal subunit protein in rice (Oryza sativa) belonging to the WD-repeat protein family.
- It functions as a component of the RACK1 regulatory proteins, playing a key role in innate immunity by interacting with multiple proteins in the RAC1 immune complex.
- Acts as a positive regulator of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and is required for resistance against rice blast (Magnaporthe grisea) infection.
- Localizes to the cytoplasm and cell membrane.
- Widely expressed across tissues.
- Contains WD repeats and is classified as a ribosomal protein, transducer, and plant defense-related protein.
