- Essential for mitosis: methylates RCC1 to ensure normal bipolar spindle formation and chromosome segregation.
- Methylates multiple substrates, including CENPA (trimethylation of N-terminal Gly), RB1, SET, RPL23A, MYL2, MYL3, and KLHL31.
