Biological Background: NMI Function and Localization

• For IHC-P, antigen retrieval may be required. Validate staining in tissues known to express NMI, such as spleen or inflamed tissue.
• Note that NMI can be secreted, so culture supernatants may contain the protein under inflammatory conditions.
• Cross-reactivity is reported for human samples only; for other species, sequence homology should be checked before use.
