  • H/ACA ribonucleoprotein complex subunit 2 (NHP2), also known as nucleolar protein family A member 2 (NOLA2) or snoRNP protein NHP2, is a core component of the H/ACA small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein (snoRNP) complex.
  • NHP2 is essential for ribosome biogenesis and telomere maintenance. Within the H/ACA snoRNP, it catalyzes the pseudouridylation of rRNA, converting uridine to pseudouridine by isomerizing the ribose linkage from N1 to C5.
