Biological Background: NEU1 (Sialidase-1) Function and Localization

• NEU1 encodes lysosomal sialidase-1, a member of the neuraminidase family, also referred to as acetylneuraminyl hydrolase, G9 sialidase, or lysosomal neuraminidase.
