- NEDD4 (neural precursor cell expressed developmentally down-regulated protein 4) is also known as RPF1, NEDD4-1, and cell proliferation-inducing gene 53 protein. It is a HECT-type E3 ubiquitin ligase that plays critical roles in protein degradation, receptor signaling, and autophagy.
