• CD34 is a hematopoietic progenitor cell antigen that may function as an adhesion molecule in early hematopoiesis, mediating attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or directly to stromal cells. It could act as a scaffold for lineage-specific glycans and present carbohydrate ligands to selectins (By similarity).
