Biological Background: CD22 Function and Localization
- CD22 (Siglec-2, BL-CAM, Lyb-8) is the most highly expressed sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin on B-cells, crucial for B-cell differentiation, antigen presentation, and bone marrow trafficking.
