Biological Background: MMP3 Function and Localization
- Stromelysin-1 (MMP3) is a secreted matrix metalloproteinase with broad substrate specificity, capable of degrading fibronectin, laminin, gelatins of type I, III, IV, and V, collagens III, IV, X, and IX, and cartilage proteoglycans.
