  • MAGEA11 (Melanoma-associated antigen 11), also known as cancer/testis antigen 1.11 (CT1.11) or MAGE-11, is a member of the MAGE family of tumor antigens.
  • It functions as an androgen receptor coregulator, enhancing androgen receptor activity by modulating interdomain interactions within the receptor.
  • MAGEA11 is implicated in embryonal development and may contribute to tumor transformation or aspects of tumor progression.
  • The protein localizes to both the nucleus and cytoplasm.
  • Expression is detected in a variety of tumors, including melanoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, lung carcinoma, and breast carcinoma, as well as in normal tissues such as testis, ovary, prostate, breast, and adrenal gland.
  • Alternative splicing of the gene has been reported, and the protein is identified as a tumor antigen with relevance in cancer immunotherapy research.

  • The immunogen used to generate this antibody corresponds to the N-terminal region (amino acids 1-110) of human MAGEA11. This region may be conserved among isoforms; verify specificity in your sample system.
  • For Western blotting, expect a band around 48 kDa. Optimize antibody concentration based on your sample and experimental conditions; the antibody may also be suitable for ELISA.
