- The protein is annotated as a Wnt-signaling molecule, suggesting involvement in the Wnt pathway, which is critical for embryonic development, cell proliferation, and differentiation.
- Variants in LINS1 are associated with autosomal recessive intellectual disability (MRT27), highlighting its importance in cognitive development.
