- LETM1 (Leucine zipper-EF-hand-containing transmembrane protein 1), also known as Mdm38, SLC55A1, and electroneutral mitochondrial K+/H+ exchanger (KHE), is a mitochondrial inner membrane protein with a molecular weight of approximately 83 kDa.
