• LDLRAP1 (also known as ARH) is an adapter protein that functions as a clathrin-associated sorting protein (CLASP), essential for efficient endocytosis of the LDL receptor (LDLR) in polarized cells such as hepatocytes and lymphocytes.
• It binds to phosphoinositides and stabilizes the interaction between LDLR and the structural components of clathrin-coated pits, facilitating LDLR-LDL complex internalization.
