- IRAK3, also known as IRAK-M, is a member of the interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase (IRAK) family and functions as an inactive pseudokinase due to lack of catalytic activity, though it retains an ATP-binding pocket.
- Acts as a negative regulator of innate immune signaling by suppressing the dissociation of IRAK1 and IRAK4 from the Toll-like receptor (TLR)/IL-1R complex, thereby dampening downstream NF-κB and MAPK pathway activation (PubMed:10383454).

- For immunofluorescence/immunocytochemistry (IF/ICC), expect cytoplasmic and/or nuclear staining. Fixation and permeabilization conditions should be optimized for immune cell types.
