Biological Background: IGFBP3 Function and Localization
- IGFBP3 is a multifunctional protein that regulates the bioavailability of insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), thereby modulating IGF-mediated cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis in a cell-type-specific manner (PubMed:10874028, PubMed:19556345).
