- Insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2/IMP2) is an RNA-binding protein that belongs to the VICKZ family, also known as hepatocellular carcinoma autoantigen p62.
- Functions as a key regulator of mRNA fate by recruiting target transcripts into cytoplasmic mRNPs, enabling their transport, transient storage, and shielding from endonuclease cleavage or microRNA-mediated degradation (By similarity).
