• HIP1R, also known as huntingtin-interacting protein 12 (HIP12), is a 119 kDa protein encoded by the HIP1R gene (GeneID: 9026) and belongs to the HIP1 family.
• It functions as a component of clathrin-coated pits and vesicles, linking the endocytic machinery to the actin cytoskeleton via its ENTH domain, which binds 3-phosphoinositides.
