  • Golgi membrane protein 1 (GOLM1, also known as GP73, GOLPH2, HEL46) is a type II transmembrane protein anchored in the cis-Golgi network membrane.
  • The protein is post-translationally modified by glycosylation and phosphorylation, resulting in an apparent molecular weight of ~45 kDa.
  • While its precise molecular function remains unclear, GOLPH2 is identified as a cellular response protein to viral infection.
  • GOLPH2 is widely expressed in epithelial tissues, with highest levels in colon, prostate, trachea, and stomach, and lower expression in testis, muscle, and lymphoid organs.
