  • Fibronectin is a high-molecular-weight glycoprotein that binds to cell surfaces and various extracellular matrix components, including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin.   • In immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, consider antigen retrieval methods and fixation conditions; fibronectin is an abundant ECM protein, so background may require blocking with serum or BSA.
