- FHL2 (Four and a half LIM domains protein 2), also known as DRAL, AAG11, SLIM3, is a LIM domain protein that functions as a molecular transmitter linking various signaling pathways to transcriptional regulation.
- It negatively regulates the transcriptional repressor E4F1, potentially influencing cell growth.
- FHL2 inhibits FOXO1 transcriptional activity and its apoptotic function by enhancing FOXO1 interaction with SIRT1 and subsequent deacetylation.

- The protein contains LIM domains, which are zinc-finger motifs mediating protein-protein interactions, and is subject to alternative splicing, phosphorylation, and ubiquitination.
