- DR5/TRAILR2/TNFRSF10B is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, also known as death receptor 5 (DR5), KILLER, and TRAIL-R2. It is encoded by the TNFRSF10B gene on chromosome 8p21.3.
- The receptor binds to the cytotoxic ligand TNFSF10/TRAIL, triggering apoptosis through recruitment of the adaptor FADD and caspase-8 to form the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC). Related references: PMID:10549288
