  • KRT6A (Cytokeratin 6A) is a type II keratin that forms obligatory heteropolymers with type I keratins KRT16 and KRT17, assembling into intermediate filament networks critical for maintaining the structural integrity of stratified epithelia, particularly in the epidermis, nail bed, and oral mucosa.   • During wound healing, KRT6A is rapidly induced in keratinocytes at the wound edge and participates in cytoskeletal reorganization during re-epithelialization, facilitating the restoration of the epithelial barrier.

  • For Western blot, a band around 60 kDa is expected; consider using human epithelial cell lines (e.g., HaCaT, A431) or skin/corneal tissue lysates as positive controls.
  • This polyclonal antibody is suitable for ELISA; for sandwich ELISA development, pairing with a monoclonal detection antibody is recommended, and optimal dilutions should be determined empirically.
