Biological Background: Cytokeratin 6 (KRT6) Function and Localization

• Keratin 6A (KRT6A) is a type II intermediate filament protein that forms obligate heteropolymers with type I keratins KRT16 and KRT17, essential for keratin cytoskeleton assembly.
