Biological Background: CXCL12 Function and Localization

• CXCL12, also known as stromal cell-derived factor 1 (SDF-1), is a secreted CXC chemokine that exists as multiple isoforms (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, theta) due to alternative splicing.
