  • CSNK1E encodes casein kinase I isoform epsilon (CKIε), a serine/threonine-protein kinase with aliases CKIe, HCKIE, and CKIepsilon.
  • It preferentially phosphorylates acidic proteins like caseins, defining its casein kinase activity.
