Biological Background: Clusterin Function and Localization

• Clusterin (apolipoprotein J, TRPM-2, SGP-2) is a multifunctional glycoprotein encoded by the CLU gene; it exists in secreted and intracellular forms due to alternative splicing and post-translational processing.
