- Anamorsin (CIAPIN1), also known as DRE2 homolog, is a component of the cytosolic iron-sulfur (Fe-S) protein assembly (CIA) machinery essential for maturation of extramitochondrial Fe-S proteins. It facilitates de novo assembly of [4Fe-4S] clusters on the scaffold complex NUBP1-NUBP2.
