Biological Background: CD3H Function and Localization
- CD3H (CD247/CD3Z) is the zeta chain of the T-cell receptor (TCR)-CD3 complex, essential for adaptive immune responses and T-cell development.

- CD247 is specifically expressed in T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells, with high expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cells and lymphoid tissues. Related references: PMID:11722641
- As a transmembrane protein, CD3H localizes to the cell membrane, where it associates with the TCR and other CD3 subunits (CD3D, CD3E, CD3G).
