- CD3G is the gamma chain of the CD3 T-cell co-receptor, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, and a core component of the TCR-CD3 complex on T-lymphocytes.
- The TCR-CD3 complex is central to adaptive immunity; upon antigen recognition, CD3 chains (CD3D, CD3E, CD3G, and CD247) transduce activation signals via their cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAMs).
