Biological Background: CD38 Function and Localization

• CD38 (ADP-ribosyl cyclase/cyclic ADP-ribose hydrolase 1) is a multifunctional transmembrane glycoprotein that functions as both an enzyme and a receptor, involved in calcium signaling, cell adhesion, and immune regulation.
