  • CD209, also known as DC-SIGN, CLEC4L, or CDSIGN, is a C-type lectin receptor predominantly expressed on the surface of immature dendritic cells.
  • It functions as a pathogen-recognition receptor, mediating endocytosis of pathogens and subsequent antigen presentation to T cells via MHC class II molecules, thus linking innate and adaptive immunity.
