• BCLAF1 (Bcl-2-associated transcription factor 1), also known as BTF, is a member of the BCLAF1 and THRAP3 family.
• It acts as a death-promoting transcriptional repressor, potentially playing a role in apoptosis.
• BCLAF1 may be involved in maintaining cyclin-D1 (CCND1) mRNA stability through the SNARP complex, which associates with the 3' end of the CCND1 gene and its mRNA.
• Subcellular localization is observed in the cytoplasm, nucleus, nucleoplasm, and nuclear speckles.
• The protein is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues.
