BAT3/BAG6 (BAG family molecular chaperone regulator 6), also known as HLA-B-associated transcript 3, Protein G3, and Protein Scythe, is a large proline-rich protein encoded by the BAG6 gene in humans. It functions as an ATP-independent molecular chaperone that prevents aggregation of misfolded and hydrophobic patch-containing proteins, operating as part of a cytosolic protein quality control complex.
