Biological Background: B-Raf Function and Localization
- B-Raf (BRAF) is a serine/threonine-protein kinase, also known as proto-oncogene B-Raf, p94, or v-Raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1.
- It functions as a central transducer of mitogenic signals from the cell membrane to the nucleus by phosphorylating MAP2K1 (MEK), thereby activating the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway. Related references: PMID:21441910 PMID:29433126

- For immunohistochemistry (paraffin-embedded sections), optimization of antigen retrieval and antibody dilution is recommended to achieve specific staining.
