- The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C‑terminal region (aa 500–end) of human ARX; therefore, the antibody may preferentially recognize epitopes in this domain.
- For Western blot, a band at approximately 58 kDa is anticipated in human, mouse, and rat samples. Validate specificity using appropriate positive and negative controls (e.g., ARX‑overexpressing lysates or knockout tissue).
- In IHC‑P and IF/ICC, expect predominantly nuclear staining due to ARX’s role as a transcription factor. Use normal brain or skeletal muscle sections as positive control tissues, and confirm by colocalization with a nuclear marker.
- ELISA performance can be assessed by coating plates with the immunizing peptide or recombinant ARX protein; titration experiments are recommended to determine optimal working dilutions.
