- For Western blotting (WB), the expected molecular weight is approximately 105 kDa. Use appropriate protein ladders and transfer conditions to resolve this high-molecular-weight band.
- The immunogen is an N-terminal synthetic peptide (aa 1-100); thus, the antibody may recognize linear epitopes. Standard blocking agents (e.g., 5% non-fat milk or BSA) are typically suitable.
- For immunofluorescence (IF/ICC), consider optimization of fixation (e.g., 4% PFA) and permeabilization (e.g., 0.1% Triton X-100) to preserve adherens junction and nuclear staining.
- In ELISA applications, the antibody can be employed for peptide or protein capture/detection; validate with the specific immunogen or recombinant protein.
- Cross-reactivity with mouse and rat has been reported; verify reactivity in your specific model system, as sequence homology may influence sensitivity.
