Biological Background: ARRDC4 Function and Localization
- ARRDC4 is an arrestin domain-containing protein that functions as an adaptor recruiting ubiquitin-protein ligases to their specific substrates (By similarity).
- It plays a role in endocytosis of activated G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) through a ubiquitination-dependent mechanism (Probable).
- ARRDC4 is involved in the incorporation of SLC11A2 into extracellular vesicles via ubiquitination (By similarity).

- ARRDC4 participates in the innate immune response by promoting IFIH1/MDA5 activation through interaction with TRIM65. Related references: PMID:28594402
