Biological Background: ANO1 Function and Localization

• ANO1 (Anoctamin-1) is a member of the anoctamin family, also designated DOG1, TMEM16A, ORAOV2, or TAOS2. It is a 114 kDa multi-pass transmembrane protein with a conserved calcium-binding domain and predicted N-glycosylation sites.
