Biological Background: AMACR Function and Localization
- Alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase (AMACR), also known as 2-methylacyl-CoA racemase, is encoded by the AMACR gene (Gene ID: 23600) and is essential for branched-chain fatty acid metabolism.
