Biological Background: Alpha-synuclein Function and Localization
- Alpha-synuclein is a neuronal protein encoded by the SNCA gene (also known as NACP or PARK1) and is a member of the synuclein family.

- For immunofluorescence or immunohistochemistry, take into account alpha-synuclein's multiple subcellular localizations (cytoplasm, membrane, nucleus, synapse, axon) and validate staining in relevant neuronal cell lines or brain sections.
