Biological Background: ADIPOR1 Function and Localization
- ADIPOR1 (also known as PAQR1, TESBP1A) is a member of the progestin and adipoQ receptor (PAQR) family and functions as a high-affinity receptor for globular adiponectin.
- Upon adiponectin binding, it activates AMPK signaling, promoting increased fatty acid oxidation, glucose uptake, and decreased gluconeogenesis, thereby regulating glucose and lipid metabolism (PubMed:12802337, PubMed:25855295).

- Cross-reactivity with mouse and rat has been reported, making it suitable for studies in these species, but always confirm specificity in your experimental system.
