- Encoded by the ACACA gene, acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (ACC1) is a 266 kDa multifunctional enzyme that belongs to the biotin-dependent carboxylase family and contains biotin carboxylase, biotin carboxyl carrier, and carboxyltransferase domains.
